After undergoing life-changing surgery, our founder, Richard O’Hamill, experienced firsthand what patients actually need to get back to a normal lifestyle. After his surgery there were no products available that would work for his lifestyle.

So he built something better.

Richard O’Hamill is the inventor and founder of Stealth Belt, Inc. Following the sale of Stealth Belt and the assignment of his patent rights to Stealth Belt, Richard founded a new business, O’Hamill Inc., focused on the development and marketing of innovative ostomy support products. HIRO is O’Hamill Inc.’s brand, built on that mission.

He set out to create the best performance ostomy belt.  What began as a personal solution quickly evolved into a new standard — one focused on performance, comfort, and dignity. Today, that same mission drives everything we create.
