"I was diagnosed with a case of advanced and aggressive UC, which resulted in the need for me to have an ileostomy. After I recovered, I was so self conscious about having a bag that I didn't want to leave the house, and if I did and I wore oversized clothes to hide it. The bag that was keeping me alive was the bane of my existence.

My ostomy nurse recommended a belt to help hide the bag, so I researched my options. I read about the belts Richard O'Hamill had created, and I ordered two belts to try. When I tried them, I felt better about going out in public. The bag was secure against my waist and didn't bounce as I walked if there was any discharge in it, and the fear of it falling off or leaking was gone. I don't want to say the belt gave me my life back, but it did give me the confidence to return to a normal routine and enjoy life again.
